FAQ
Do all Sunpro sunglasses offer UV protection?
All Sunpro sunglasses use UV400 lenses, giving full protection from harmful UV light. Around ninety per cent of the range is polarised too, so most pairs cut harsh glare straight away. If a style is polarised, you’ll see it noted in the name or description.
Sunpro sunglasses also meet both US and EU safety standards, so the UV protection is solid across the board.
In New Zealand, sunnies are rated under the AS/NZS 1067.1:2016 standard. Lenses fall into categories from 0 to 4, based on how dark they are and how much UV they block. Categories 2 and 3 work best for everyday use because they handle glare and UV without feeling too dark. Most of ours sit in category 3.
How long will it take to receive my order?
We process orders every day and usually ship within a day or two using NZ Post’s tracked non-signature service. Everything heads out from Nelson, so delivery’s pretty quick around the country.
If you’re overseas, we send orders by tracked NZ Post Air Mail, which keeps things moving at a steady pace.
What’s included with the sunglasses?
Every pair comes with a soft microfibre case. It keeps your shades safe from scratches and works as a cleaning cloth too. Handy for a quick wipe, and easy protection when you’re not wearing them. Just slip them into the case and they stay in good nick.
Where is Sunpro located?
We’re based in Nelson – or Whakatū, as locals call it – a lively spot up north on the South Island with just over 54,000 people. The scenery’s unreal, the arts scene keeps the place buzzing, and the coastal towns around it are real stunners.
Nelson also gets more sunshine than almost anywhere else in New Zealand, which makes it the perfect home for iPOP and a great base for sending shades all over the country.
What are polarised sunglasses?
Polarised sunglasses cut harsh glare and make everything look clearer. They’re great in bright sun or around reflective surfaces like water, snow, or metal. The lenses have a special filter that blocks horizontal light waves – the ones that cause that blinding shine – while letting vertical light through so your view stays crisp.
You end up with less eye strain and a safer, more comfortable time when you’re driving, boating, or fishing. They’re available in a range of colours and tints, and iPOP has plenty to choose from. A solid way to deal with glare without squinting all day.
Do you have a physical store I can visit or pick up from?
We don’t have a walk-in shop, so we don’t offer pickups or visits. Everything runs online, and our shipping’s quick and steady, so your order gets to you fast.
Do you wholesale Sunpro sunglasses?
Yes, we offer wholesale sunglasses to selected retailers in New Zealand. Get in touch and we’ll walk you through how our wholesale setup works.
